Specifying an editing solution
In our view, this matter is so complex that one is not in a position to draw up a good specification. Unless of course, one has a generous budget.
Complex solutions often fail. If solutions are complex one divides them into manageable partial solutions, thus minimising complexity.
We have developed a methodology that does precisely this. This methodology is particularly valued by our customers as it minimises the risk of a bad investment. After all, no company wishes to make a poor decision – or can afford to do so.
Vendors of editing systems claim that their systems can do almost everything. What they fail to mention is the cost incurred in achieving these targets.
Often it takes months before it becomes apparent what a system cannot do. Our customers have neither the time nor the money for such experiments.
